Privacy Policy

TNA Associates LLC (“TNA Associates,” “we,” or “us”) is the data controller for tna.associates and the shared infrastructure that supports our portfolio holdings. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We collect only what is necessary to operate the site, book and run calls, and run the marketing and payment systems that serve our business and our portfolio companies.

Information we collect

Information you provide in the chat. When you use the chat on our homepage, we collect the answers you give, which can include your first name, business name, email address, phone number, industry, location, website, information about your pricing and customers, the problem you want to solve, whether you agree to have the call recorded, and how you would like to be contacted. We save each answer as you give it, so we may keep answers from a chat you do not finish.

Bookings and payments. If you pay the booking fee, the payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. Stripe tells us the payment succeeded, the amount, and the email address you used.

Calls. We record a call only if you agreed to recording in the chat or at the start of the call. Recordings and notes are used to deliver what we discussed and are not published.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request path, timestamp) for each request. We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, which set cookies to measure page views and the steps of the chat. The chat is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and usage information to tell people from bots, under Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We keep a one-way hash of your IP address to limit abuse of the chat.

Portfolio integrations. Specific portfolio products operated by TNA Associates (or by holdings under shared infrastructure) may collect data using the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API for advertising attribution, Google Analytics 4 for usage analytics, Stripe (including Stripe Connect) for payments, and Google Workspace for business email and calendar. Each portfolio property links to this policy where applicable.

How we use information

We use the information to answer you, prepare for and run your call, send the emails you asked for (such as your chat summary, booking confirmation and reminders), deliver and improve our services, measure our marketing, process payments through our payment processor, secure our systems, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Subprocessors and data sharing

We rely on a small set of vetted subprocessors to run the site and the integrations above:

  • Vercel — hosting and edge delivery for tna.associates. Server logs are stored by Vercel under their privacy terms.
  • Firebase / Google Cloud (Firestore) — storage for your chat answers and booking status.
  • Resend — delivery of the emails we send you and the notifications we send ourselves about your booking.
  • Google — Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 for site analytics, reCAPTCHA for bot protection, and Google Workspace for business email and calendar.
  • Stripe — payments, including Stripe Connect for portfolio products that disburse to operators or merchants.
  • Meta Platforms — Marketing API and Conversions API used by TNA Associates and its portfolio holdings to run and measure paid campaigns.

We do not share personal information with other third parties except with your consent, to comply with law or valid legal process, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.

Retention and security

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected and for legitimate business and legal reasons. Our database can only be read and written by our own server; the browser never has direct access to it. We use industry-standard transport encryption (HTTPS), access controls on our backend systems, and encryption at rest provided by our subprocessors. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not promise that ours is.

Your choices

You can email nicholas@tna.associates to request a copy of the information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, or opt out of marketing communications. You can also follow our data deletion instructions. Where the GDPR or CCPA grants you specific rights as a resident of the EU/UK or California, those rights apply to information we control. We respond to verifiable requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our site, services or integrations change. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on this page.
