What Is "The Gun"?
The Gun is a systematic methodology for deploying revenue-generating infrastructure. It's the process behind TNA Associates' 272X growth, $12.6M+ deployed revenue, and 1:6 AI-augmented productivity ratio.
Unlike traditional consulting (advice → client execution → hope), The Gun deploys working systems:
- Infrastructure: Attribution, campaigns, automation, reporting. Built and deployed, not recommended.
- Ownership: Clients own everything. No vendor lock-in. No ongoing dependencies.
- Systematic: Repeatable process. Not heroics. Teachable to operators.
- AI-Augmented: Claude/GPT integration. 1:6 productivity (1 hour input → 6 hours output).
The methodology is named "The Gun" because it's point-and-deploy: precise, repeatable, and outcome-focused. No spray-and-pray. No PowerPoint decks. Infrastructure that works.
The Three-Stage Process
Observing Reality
Map the current state. What systems exist? What's working? What's broken? Where's the revenue coming from? What's the client's actual capacity?
Key Activities:
- • Current infrastructure audit
- • Revenue attribution mapping
- • Team capacity assessment
- • Constraint identification
- • Baseline metrics establishment
Orienting to Truth
Identify the highest-leverage intervention. Not what the client wants. Not what's trendy. What will actually move revenue given constraints.
Key Activities:
- • Root cause analysis
- • Leverage point identification
- • Constraint-based prioritization
- • Infrastructure gap analysis
- • ROI projection modeling
Deploying Infrastructure
Build it. Deploy it. Prove it works. Transfer ownership. Document everything. Train the team. Then move to the next constraint.
Key Activities:
- • System build & staging
- • Testing & validation
- • Production deployment
- • Documentation & training
- • Ownership transfer
The Dual Oracle Model
Traditional consulting uses single oracle model: consultant observes, analyzes, recommends. Client executes (maybe). Consultant isn't accountable for outcomes.
The Gun uses dual oracle: Two distinct decision-making modes working in a continuous loop.
Oracle 1: Strategic
Role: Observe reality, orient to truth, decide what to build.
- • What's the constraint?
- • What's the highest-leverage intervention?
- • What infrastructure will move revenue?
- • What can the client actually execute?
Oracle 2: Tactical
Role: Build the infrastructure, deploy it, prove it works.
- • How do we build this system?
- • What tools do we use?
- • How do we deploy it in production?
- • How do we document and train?
Key Insight: These two modes operate in a continuous feedback loop.
Strategic oracle decides what to build → Tactical oracle builds it → Results inform Strategic oracle's next decision → Loop continues. This is the OODA loop applied to infrastructure deployment.
The Circular OODA Loop
OODA Loop (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act) was developed by military strategist John Boyd. It's a decision-making framework for competitive environments. The Gun applies it to infrastructure deployment.
Observe
Gather data on current reality. What's working? What's broken? What are the constraints?
Orient
Analyze the data. Identify root causes. Determine the highest-leverage intervention point.
Decide
Choose what to build. What infrastructure will move revenue? What can the client execute?
Act
Deploy the infrastructure. Prove it works. Transfer ownership. Then loop back to Observe.
This is a continuous loop, not a linear process.
After deploying infrastructure, you observe the new reality, orient to new constraints, decide on the next intervention, and deploy again. Speed through the loop = competitive advantage.
AI-Augmented Productivity: The 1:6 Ratio
The Gun achieves a 1:6 productivity ratio: 1 hour of human input generates 6 hours of usable output. This isn't hyperbole. It's measured across hundreds of deployments.
How It Works
1. Claude/GPT as Tactical Oracle
AI handles the 'how' (writing code, generating documentation, drafting reports). Human handles the 'what' and 'why' (strategy, prioritization, quality control).
2. Systematic Prompting
Every deployment follows documented prompts. AI knows the infrastructure patterns, tools, and best practices. Human provides context and constraints.
3. Continuous Feedback Loop
AI generates output → Human reviews and refines → AI regenerates → Repeat until production-ready. This loop is fast because AI doesn't get tired.
4. Knowledge Compounding
Every deployment improves the prompts, templates, and documentation. AI gets better at generating usable output. 1:6 ratio increases over time.
Why This Matters:
Traditional consulting: 1 hour input → 1 hour output. Heroic execution: 1 hour input → 2-3 hours output (burnout risk).
AI-augmented with The Gun: 1 hour input → 6 hours output. Sustainable. Scalable. Teachable to operators.
